TOURS

For the first time, tours of Doubleday Field will be available to the public. Each week, a 45-minute tour of the field, led by local historians (Ted Spencer, former Curator at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Tom Heitz, former Librarian at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, and Pete Henrici, SABR member /researcher and owner of Baseball Nostalgia), will be available to groups, with a maximum of 20.

The tours, tentatively slated for either Wednesdays and/or Thursdays, from 8:30 AM to 9:15 AM, will begin at the Grandstand entrance to Doubleday Field and, after hearing a talk about the field’s history, the tour group will be led to the area behind home plate for pictures.

Admission is $20 per person. Each tour member will receive an exclusive Friends of Doubleday logo pin, created by the foremost sports graphic designer in the country, Todd Radom.

Advance booking and payment is required. Contact us at
